Women Empowerment

AMCS is empowering women through the Women Self Help Groups in rural areas of Katkamdag, Banadag and Sultana Panchayats of Hazaribagh district for the last 6 years. Till now we had formed 60 SHGs in the project villages. The program has helped these SHGs to bring strong and permanent improvements in their socio-economic conditions

Community Health

AMCS is providing community health services in Hazaribag and Chatra district of Jharkhand.

In 2017-18, AMCS has provided health services to more than 500 people. AMCS is also actively engaged in spreading awareness regarding issues on nutrition, personal hygiene, and safe drinking water. AMCS also works to promote preventive measures among the community so that they will be conscious of their health and link the community with Government health facilities.

Safe Drinking Water

Safe drinking water is one of the most important issues of development work, especially among low-income families. Bio sand filtration is an appropriate and low-cost method for household water treatment and is proven to reduce diarrhoeal incidence. The training course offered by AMCS is intended for those living in the slums and villages of Hazaribagh district who want to learn about household-level bio-sand filtration as an effective household water treatment. The training provided an overview of the theoretical aspects of bio-sand filtration and a large part also involved hands-on practical sessions that included the construction of concrete filters by the participants, installation, and maintenance of filters, etc.
